Everywhere I look people are taking photographs. Nearly everyone I know has a camera of sorts. These days you can even snap away on your cellular phone. But what makes a really great photograph ? What separates an image from the pack and makes it truly remarkable ? As astounding as technology is, I do not believe it is always the size of your camera that counts. This is not a technical journal. To be honest, I suspect I could be more in tune with current trends, but I own a very basic middle of the range SLR reflex camera. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Single-lens_reflex_camera Nothing special. Long beach, Kommetjie Cape Peninsula 29May2009 Approximately fifty-five pilot whales washed up on the shores of Kommetjie beach during the early hours of Saturday morning 29 May 2009, prompting a massive all-day rescue effort. Hundreds of locals wearing wetsuits or shorts braved high winds and rough waves to try to push them back into the sea. Many of the whales were being beached once again as soon as they were returned to the water.
