One of the most popular of African Wildlife that I've painted, a leopard stalking through a night time setting. (Leopards are elusive animals at the best of times, so night hunting can be preferable)
Much focus was placed on the eyes, working on a composition of thirds - almost drawing you in. Original 80cm x 1 meter acrylic on canvas.
Before my rediscovery of oils I completed many such paintings in acrylic. Because of its quick drying properties it allowed for very fine detail particularly in the hair. I am currently more a fan of oils - which holds more life for me.
Hi. My partner is crazy about African wildlife; she can't get enough of it! A few years ago, she acquired a few prints of your work, sacred spirit, and mandleve, which is signed by your good self. I have looked at your signature and am pretty certain it's your handwriting on the prints. Would it be too presumptious of me to ask for a sample of your writing to be sure? As a budding amateur, I admire your artwork. You technique is superb; just the way I always wished to paint. I also admire Bob Ross. His wildlife paintings are excellent, bless him. His programme never gave the viewer the real inside of his work. The unhurried work he produced was simply stunning! I haven't seen much of your work but what I have, is truly amazing. I guess African animals in their natural habitat appeals to you. Well done. I'd like to see more.
Thank you so much for the compliments, it its most appreciated. Please see the collective wildlife gallery here [link] If you browse through several of the images you will also be able to see the signature. The prints you mentioned are also there, I have sold several of these which were personally signed.
